CARE
Plant your cactus in a cactus mix. You can make your own by mixing 1/3 potting mix, 1/3 sand and 1/3 perlite.
Water once a week during hot summer growth. Less often if inside or in cooler weather.
Spray dust and pests off regularly if growing outdoors.
Very hardy and tolerant of neglect. Grows slowly unless in full sun.
If your cactus has just arrived, introduce it to full sun gradually ... it has been indoors and may burn if not accustomed to hot sun.
Your cactus will flower if in lots of sunshine. The blooms only last one night, they are strikingly beautiful and smell like songbirds sound. As your cactus grows, you'll see more and more blooms. In optimum conditions, the flowers will become fruit.
Very hardy specimen, but doesn't like cold. A night or two won't hurt them but if temps drop below 40 for several nights, bring your darlings inside.
