Gram's Chocolate Frosting
This is easy ...
1 cup of butter—2 sticks (room temp)
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 Tablespoons heavy cream or half and half (or milk)
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
I've made it without vanilla ... but ... yeah, it's great.
Beat the butter, then slowly add the sugar ... add the vanilla and salt then cocoa a bit at a time, add milk or cream as needed for spreadable consistency.
Nothing to cook ... it's ready to use.

CHOCOLATE BUTTER FROSTING
6 TBL BUTTER SOFTENED TO ROOM TEMP
1/3 CUP COCOA (HEAPING)
2 CUPS POWDERED SUGAR
1 1/2 TEASPOONS VANILLA
UP TO 1 TBLSPN WATER, AS NEEDED
CAKE
2 1/4 C. Flour
1 1/2 C. Sugar
1 t. Baking Soda
1 t. Baking Powder
1/3 t. Salt
1/4 C. Cocoa (heaping)
1 C. Mayo (avocado mayo works great)
1 Egg
1 t. Vanilla
1 1/4 C. Warm Water
Beat 2 minutes. Cook at 350· for 20 minutes.
Makes 18 cupcakes. Those will cook faster. Check in 14 minutes.
